Buck Davidson has, at a very young age, amassed an impressive and varied record of accomplishments in the equestrian field. Even though eventing is a family business, Buck started his career as a fox hunter and timber racer. He won the Open Timber race at Bradywine Hills Point to Point in 1992 aboard Dashing Fred.
While his father, Bruce Davidson, Sr. campaigned in Europe in the summer of 1995, Buck remained in the United States and kept the string of horses which had been left behind fit and in winning form. His successful partnership with Trans Am A Flirt resulted in a fifth place finish this year at the Rolex/Kentucky CCI***. Due to that impressive finish, Buck was awarded the USET's Markham Trophy as the highest placed Young Rider at the competition. Buck was also offered the opportunity to add his name to the short list for the USET Three Day Event riders who would be vieing for a position on the squad representing the U.S. at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, an honor which he declined. Buck is now concentrating his efforts on competition at Bromont CCI** and then is setting his sights on either Fair Hill CCI*** or Burghley with Trans Am A Flirt. |
